Yarnbombers hit Bendigo!

Yarnbombed!

It was International Yarnbombing Day on Saturday 9 June and some ‘vandals’ a.k.a. yarnbombers struck at the Bendigo Community Farmers’ Market.

Again on Saturday 16 June, these crocheting delinquents hit the Bendigo Town Hall and Bendigo Library gardens, just in time for The Square – Bendigo’s Handmade Market.

Hargreaves Mall was targeted on 22 July! Fortunately it brought a lot of colour to the space – images below…

These ‘crimes against normality’ had coverage in the local newspaper, and again on 25 July. No arrests have been made… yet!

Here’s some beautiful words and pictures from our friends at House of HumbleView | Point and Secrets Magazine (Spring 2012).
