Found cafe that has great space, food, coffee, juice, woodfire, and hass-free wifi. T’hooft cafe. Near the organic shop in Lyttleton Terrace. Never went in before coz it looked too pokey, then noticed sign saying there is seating upstairs. I love it here!

Just goes to show, you can find everything on the Internet; on the train up to Bendigo I googled “free wifi Bendigo”, and here you are.

Unfortunately I had no luck at Cafe Roubaix. Forgot my old rule “Check the wifi works before you order” and wasted $3.50 on a long black that cooled while I fiddled around trying to get it to work. It connected but no Internet action resulted. The woman behind the counter restarted the modem for me, but no luck.

BTW, on passing Cafe Thirty8 I noticed they mention free wifi on the nearby on-street sign pointing toward their premises. Wasn’t keen on the look of the place though (cafe snob!), hence my choice of Roubaix (sigh).

Now at the Brewhouse, where the wifi is working fine, I’m happy to report.

They had it there last time we were there, although we did have to ask one of the other staff members as they did confuse it with their coffee text service…

Hello. Cafe thirty8 doesn’t have wifi. ( unless they just don’t want to tell me about it! ) It has a service where you can email or text your order in and pay for it online. Just brought an overseas traveller here, thinking they might be able to use their tablet- but no. Anyway, had a sandwich.

We’ve heard nothing but good stuff about Bunja Thai, and yes, we totally agree with you about the lack of vegetarian options. Also, it is with reluctance that you would want to have to ask for a special meal – please just provide an option!

Please keep us informed – I am so so sick of the pumpkin version risotto, pasta or pizza. – or the old spinach and ricotta cannelloni and/or veg lasagne!! For goodness sake Bgo chefs, its not that hard….. So boring and repetitive – I am almost over going out to eat.I am also over places that say we can make things off the menu into a vegetarian meal – in my experience this rarely works – its like an afterthought with no planning or care and usually nothing more added to add taste or texture.. Not a pub but Bunja Thai is my current favourite – loads to choose from and delicious.
