Sunday Breakfast

This post is sooo yesterday and we have discovered more breakfast places – click here for the recent update.

Sunday, a day of rest. And so it is for many of our café folk in Bendigo – and rightly so! They need a break too.

Although, there are some crazy people that do still get up at the crack of dawn to serve us on a Sunday and they are:

The Dispensary Enoteca
Chancery Lane (off Pall Mall, between Williamson & Bull Streets)
Open from 8am, the friendly staff are ready to serve you with a perfect coffee and breakfast that is a notch above the average. Menu changes seasonally.

T’Hooft 322 Lyttleton Terrace
A Bendigo favourite. You may have to wait for a table as this joint is very popular. Their fair-trade coffee hits the spot and they have a modern menu with a few vegetarian and vegan friendly options. Like!

Bendigo Corner Store Cafe 305 View Street
Our favourite. We don’t want to say too much more as we’d still like to get a table. Fantastic daily specials, and they use organic ingredients wherever possible. Try and nab a spot in the sunny backyard, if we don’t get there first.

Café au Lait 20 Mitchell Street
We hear that the baked eggs here are divine and the porridge is good.

The Puddler (101 Williamson Street) offers a buffet breakfast from 8:30am (details here). Can’t say what’s it’s like as we’ve not been yet. Let us know what you reckon.

If we’ve forgotten your favourite café, please let us know!

  2. How come I did not know this!? Maybe I’m trying to keep your great food, coffee and backyard a secret, so I can still get a table. 🙂
I’ll update the post – thanks for the heads up.

  3. Yippee. Thanks iheartbendigo. I was just googling cafe after cafe to try to find one open for breaky this morning and not having any luck. I then just googled “Sunday breakfast Bendigo” and got this. Awesome. Are the Puddler still doing breaky now they’re The Woodhouse? Hou’ll have to keep updating by the looks of it!
