Bendigo celebrates sustainable living, with a day of food, gardening and music. Hosted and organised by the Bendigo Sustainability Group, this FREE community celebration includes music all day with the McAlpine Fusiliers, gardening workshops (featuring Costa), and cooking demonstrations (there is a rumour that Nicole from Bendigo Wholefoods is headlining at the cooktop).
There will be free kids activities including a juggling workshop. Or if fashion’s your thing, enter the Sustainable Fashion on the Fields; with prizes for the best op shop outfit worn on the day. There’s something for the whole family, they reckon.
If you ride your bike to the event, you can have your bike serviced for free; get your chains greased and tyres pumped.
Bring your picnic lunch, or purchase pancakes, sausages, or something from the variety of stall at the sustainable market.
