Sustainable House Day 2012

Bendigo’s annual Sustainable House Day is on this Sunday 28 October. The self-drive tour kicks off with registration at 9:30am from Peppergreen Farm (Thunder Street, North Bendigo) and the houses will be open from 10am – 4pm. You can decide which houses you visit and the order in which you visit them.

You can ‘speed-date’ an Architect or Designer at one of the houses. Bring your house-plans, ideas or photos for five minutes of expert advice.

There will be seven houses showcased this year; both renovated and new homes that boast a range of products from uPVC double glazed windows, through to innovative heating and insulation options.

See first hand how others have achieved some great savings. Owners and suppliers will be present for you to ask questions and learn tricks to help you save water, keep your house cool in summer, warm in winter and moderate your energy consumption.

Tickets are only available online and must be brought to registration on the day to receive your map and ‘show bag’ of tips. Children under 15 free.
