Saturday Sings – Gospel, Blues & Roots

image004The second Sing for Supper Saturday Sings event is on Saturday 27 July 2013 from 2:00-4:30pm at the Long Gully Community Centre, 23-29 Havilah Road.

The next event will be full of joy, hope and harmonies singing gospel, blues & roots songs in the African/American tradition. Facilitator Angela Mitten has a huge repertoire of fabulous songs.

Please book, as it helps Deb & Ann with their set-up & catering, via http://www.trybooking.com/DBHJ, otherwise contact them via the website www.singforsupper.org

Who is it for? Anyone who enjoys singing. Learn while you sing!

A bargain at only $20, for a fabulous afternoon of singing and some refreshments. See you there.

P.S. This event follows a very successful & well attended inaugural Saturday Sings – Songs of Africa, held at the end of May. As we hear about Nelson Mandela’s declining health, I’ve been reminded of the joyous & hopeful songs we sang such as “Freedom is coming” at that event. IT WAS AWESOME.
