Community Owned Solar Power

Get in on the action! Less than 40 panels left.

Community Owned Solar Panels

The Bendigo Sustainability Group (BSG) has secured the opportunity to place 80 solar panels on the new Bendigo Library.

The City of Greater Bendigo will pay the group market value for the electricity generated and used by the library; these funds will be used to continue and expand the BSG’s sustainability projects in the local community.

Can you or your organisation contribute to purchase solar panels for the community-owned project? Each panel, including installation costs $400 – tax deductible too!

The target to fund all 80 panels has been extended to the end of May 2015.

Contact the BSG for more information.

Here’s a story about the project in the Bendigo Advertiser.
