The MIFF Travelling Showcase is hitting the road across regional Victoria and will arrive in Bendigo at Star Cinema from 5-6 October 2018.

The Showcase will bring highlights from this year’s Melbourne International Film Festival. The two day program features four diverse films including the Opening Night film, ACUTE MISFORTUNE, starring Daniel Henshall and Toby Wallace in this Age Critics Award winner, an adaptation of Eric Jensen’s biography about notorious artist Adam Cullen.

The Coming Back Out Ball Movie follows the artistic duo All The Queen’s Men through the organisation of the LGBTQIA+ red carpet event The Coming Back Out Ball. The film gives an insight into the creation of the event, and tells the stories of members of Melbourne’s elder LGBTIQ community and those being honoured at the Ball.

The Eulogy explores the remarkable life and story of pianist Geoffrey Tozer, one of the greatest and most overlooked musicians in Australia. The child prodigy received global praise for his talent, however struggled to be recognised in Australia. Tozer died from poverty at the age of 54. Watch as former Prime Minister Paul Keating re-stages the famous, searing Eulogy that he delivered at Tozer’s memorial service.

Undermined: Tales from The Kimberly investigates the costs of development in the world famous location where mining threatens not only the environment but more than 200 Indigenous communities.
