Women of Wit: stand-up comedy night

Women of Wit: stand-up comedy night

It’s finally here! An all-female line-up of comedians. Some of the best on the Australian circuit team up with Bendigo’s finest women of wit for what is going to be a stellar night of comedy.

Cath Styles, comedy goddess trapped in the body of an ordinary women, with festival shows Shift and Accidental Cougar, will MC the night.

Danielle Walker, winner of the National Raw Comedy Final in 2016, and winner of Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2017 will feature.

Headliner, Kirsty Webeck is “…relaxed and affable…” (Squirrel Comedy), “Honestly, this is must watch comedy.” (Funny Tonne), and Kirsty is a firm fan favourite of Bendigo gigs and is returning for this big night. Joined by Gamze Kirik, a Melbourne comedian on the rise, Tara Trewhella and Jade Fitzgerald from Albury, and Bendigo’s Simone Amohanga. We’re also using this night to invite new female comedians to take to the stage.

There are two five minute spots available to newcomers. Anyone interested in performing are encouraged to contact the organisers via email to bendigocomedy@gmail.com
